Principal's List Preschool has three locations and is the areas most premier and innovative childcare center. We provide children, at an early age, with the highest quality of learning a child needs in order to have a lifetime of academic success. We also provide children with a safe, secure environment, a nurturing, professional staff, and the finest educational experiences. We are committed to providing a fun-filled, rewarding program that balances each child's intellectual, physical, social, creative and emotional needs.
About our Owners
Your family will love being a part of our locally owned, family oriented preschool. As the owner of these preschools, my suitcase is filled with credentials as a certified elementary teacher, and retired principal. I have won numerous awards throughout my career which include, Lafayette Parish Teacher of the Year, Regional Teacher of the Year and a state finalist in that competition. Also, Elementary Principal of the year at the local and regional level. I was also a state finalist as Louisiana Principal of the Year. I am here with enthusiasm, creativity, and love. My husband is also a former educator. For the past 10 years, he has worked for companies in the area of publishing, elem./ early childhood curriculum and sales. Get ready because your child will share in our enthusiasm for learning. They will work with qualified and enthusiastic teachers and staff. Most importantly, they will be loved and nurtured throughout their stay with us. The owners are the proud parents of two young men. Rivers, the oldest is a 2019 graduate of Darthmouth college. The youngest , Princeton is a student at Ascension Episcopal School.
About Our Teachers
When hiring teachers, we seek the very best. We look for experience and or training in the early education field. All new teachers must go through orientation, on the job training, reference, Background and fingerprint checks,Health & Safety classes,continuing Ed. classes(12hrs.), CPR and first aid training, and 12 clock hours of continuing education each year. All teachers must nurture, communicate with parents, be able to teach a curriculum, write a lesson plan, and be engaged with kids at all times. All teachers must display professionalism at all times.
